About the Founder

Versatility Education was founded in 2018 by Valentyna Zolotarova.


Valentyna Zolotarova has a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from the University of British Columbia. She has over 10 years of experience teaching in face to face, blended and fully online classes in both private and public schools. Zolotarova’s teaching experience has resulted in knowledge and understanding of some of the most renowned methodologies in the world such as the International Baccalaureate Program, Montessori, Accelerated Integrated Method of Language Learning as well as the world’s top training methodologies for high performance in sports. Her passion for education has motivated her to continue her professional development and current research in the fields of psychology and neuroscience as they relate to education. This research has been the foundation of Versatility Education’s commitment to  continually develop new ways to improve student learning.


Zolotarova’s teaching experience involves group and individualized work and planning for students of both elementary and secondary school age. She has worked for the Vancouver School Board, the West Vancouver Schoolboard, the Abu Dhabi Education Council, the Ministry of Education of United Arab Emirates and The Westside Schools. She was also an Olympic prospect in the sport of Karate for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, which have now been postponed to 2021. Outside of education, Zolotarova has worked with various sport federations to facilitate the design of high performance programs and seminars for the top athletes of Mexico and Jamaica in preparation for the 2019 Pan-american Games. She has taught live online courses to elementary school students in China and asynchronous online courses to high school students in Canada and has also designed and taught cross-curricular karate programs in which incorporated the study of academic subjects such as mathematics, social studies and foreign languages in combination with karate for pre-schoolers, elementary and high school students.


Throughout Zolotarova’s career she was mentored by successful leaders in education such as Graham Baldwin, the creator of The Key Program, The Miniversity, The CAIS Diploma in Indy School Leadership and the former head of some of Vancouver’s top private schools. Zolotarova has also worked closely with world renowned coaches of Olympic athletes and world champions which has expanded her understanding of the qualities needed for success and teaching methodology applied to train elite level athletes which is relevant and transferable from sport to academics.


Versatility Education works with a limited number of students and parents to provide individualized academic counseling, guidance and planning. We also assist classes, schools and organizations transitioning to online education.
